About Me

Snowmass Balloon Festival
Snowmass Balloon Festival

Snowmass, Colorado is often mentioned alongside Aspen—and for good reason. Located just eight miles apart, or about a 15-minute drive, these destinations share complimentary bus transportation and even the same lift ticket, which includes Snowmass, Buttermilk, Aspen Highlands, and Aspen Mountain (AJAX). While they’re geographically similar and share many of the same local families, traditions, and community values, Snowmass offers its own unique blend of modern luxury, family-friendly charm, and year-round adventure.

Having worked in both Aspen and Snowmass for nearly five years through a local catering company, I’ve experienced the region through a local lens. Snowmass has always stood out for its vibrant events, exceptional hospitality, and welcoming atmosphere that appeals equally to couples, families, and luxury travelers.

Snowmass is one of Colorado’s premier ski destinations, offering wide-open terrain, long groomers, and 3,000+ acres perfectly suited for beginners, intermediates, and seasoned experts alike. Families especially love Snowmass for its approachable layout, exceptional ski school, and true ski-in/ski-out convenience at top resorts like the Viceroy Snowmass, Limelight Snowmass, and Viewline Resort. These slopeside hotels make it effortless to start and end your day right on the mountain, and many nearby condo-style accommodations offer the same convenience with extra space for families. With gentle beginner areas, confidence-building blue runs, thrilling expert terrain in the Hanging Valley, and plenty of family-friendly amenities throughout the Village, Snowmass delivers a world-class skiing experience for every skill level.

One of the most breathtaking annual events is the Snowmass Balloon Festival, where dozens of colorful hot air balloons rise from the valley floor and drift above lush summer landscapes. It’s romantic, visually stunning, and unforgettable for visitors of all ages. Another beloved tradition is the Snowmass Rodeo, held Wednesday nights from mid-June through late August, offering an authentic Western experience that families especially love. Summer also brings Thursday concerts on Fanny Hill, where live music, mountain views, and cool evening breezes create the perfect end to a day outdoors. On the Fourth of July, a large concert on Snowmass Mountain draws thousands, featuring headline artists alongside talented local student performers.

When it comes to accommodations, Snowmass shines as the more modern counterpart to Aspen. While it still has a few classic buildings, much of Snowmass is sleek, updated, and designed for today’s traveler. Luxury properties such as the Viceroy Snowmass and Limelight Hotel offer elevated amenities, ski-in/ski-out access, spa services, and sophisticated dining—ideal for romantic getaways, destination weddings, and upscale family vacations. Visitors can also rent private luxury homes valued between $5 and $50 million, perfect for multi-generational travel or groups seeking a private mountain retreat. More conservative options, including the Stonebridge Inn, Viewline Resort Snowmass, and the intimate Villas at Snowmass Club, offer comfort and quality while maintaining the elevated standards the Aspen Snowmass region is known for.

Dining in Snowmass Village is equally impressive. Stark’s Alpine Grill sits steps from the slopes, offering beautiful views and an inviting atmosphere. Heather’s Snowmass provides warm, home-style comfort, while Zane’s Tavern—a long-time local favorite—delivers a lively, casual dining experience with locations in Snowmass, Aspen, and Basalt. Just below the Village, Clark’s Market provides a modern, high-quality grocery option reminiscent of a blend between a local market and a Whole Foods—perfect for guests staying in condos or private homes. A few minutes farther down the hill, the Snowmass Recreation Center offers a first-class fitness facility complete with treadmills, stair climbers, rock-climbing walls, basketball courts, and an outdoor pool with heated concrete. Travelers who want to maintain their workout routine will find everything they need in this impressive space.

One of the most magical aspects of Snowmass is its wildlife. Early mornings and evenings often bring sightings of deer, elk, foxes, bears, and even bobcats. It’s a beautiful reminder of how deeply connected this destination is to nature. Guests are encouraged to secure trash properly and admire wildlife from a safe distance.

Snowmass blends luxury, adventure, romance, and family fun into one unforgettable destination. Whether you’re dreaming of a ski-in/ski-out winter escape, a modern mountain retreat, or a summer getaway filled with concerts, festivals, and scenic beauty, Snowmass delivers the perfect balance of relaxation and excitement. I would be honored to help you plan your Snowmass vacation and share insider insights to create your perfect Colorado mountain escape.

I found Jaury on the Panama Travel site on Facebook. I was overwhelmed by choices to make for my Panama trip with friends and Jaury was the perfect person to advise me. She even checked in with me during the trip to see how everything was going and followed up when I got home. She was just great and an indispensible resource for me!

The trip that keeps on giving…
Reviewed By Linda - Independence, Mo | Traveled to Kansas City | Missouri | USA
Jaurymeth Wofford helped us plan our annual trip to The Elms Resort in Excelsior Spring, Mo. (Suburb of Kansas City) We originally planned the trip for for 1/23/20026. Durning that time, the weather forecast predicted a sever storm with blizzard conditions and several inches of snow. We asked Jaury to reschedule the trip for the following weekend. Within 20 minutes, it was rescheduled and a new itinerary was sent to our email. Her service was very professional and prompt. I wouldn’t hesitate to use her service again for future trips for friends and family. ?? Linda
Jaurymeth Wofford responded
"Linda, Thank you for the kind words! It was my pleasure to help you with this annual trip. I'm glad we were able to get it rearranged until the storm passed. I look forward to helping with your next trip! "
I would recommend this agent to my family and friends.

What happens in Vegas...
Reviewed By Sophia - Denver | Traveled to Las Vegas | Nevada | USA
I’ve been to Vegas plenty of times, but this trip was the first time I let a travel advisor take over—and honestly, I’m so glad I did. I gave Jaurymeth a list of places I didn’t want to stay, and she surprised me with the Bellagio. Great choice. We spent a few days enjoying the Strip, then did a tour of the Hoover Dam, and she even booked a city tour that pointed out all the cool details I’d never noticed before—from the Bellagio fountains to the chandeliers to how massive the Fremont Street “TV” actually is. Even after all my past trips, I was seriously impressed with how much she put together for my family. It almost made Vegas feel brand new.
I would recommend this agent to my family and friends.

What happens in Vegas...
Reviewed By Sophia - Denver | Traveled to Las Vegas | Nevada | USA
I've been to Vegas several times, but finally decided to let a travel advisor surprise me, within some guidelines. I didn't want to stay anywhere I had stayed before, so I gave Jaurymeth a list of where I didn't want to stay. She ended up deciding on the Bellagio. I spent a few days on the "strip", and then did a tour of the Hoover Dam as well. Jaurymeth also set up a tour of the city, where they drive around, give you details and information about everything ranging fom the Bellagio fountains, to the chandeliers, to the size of the "TV" on Fremont Street. The details provided were remarkable! Even after being to Vegas multiple times, I was impressed with everything she put together for my family and I.
I would recommend this agent to my family and friends.
