I remember hiking on the Osa Peninsula, the air heavy with the scent of rain and earth, when suddenly a flock of scarlet macaws burst overhead, their wings flashing red and yellow against the green canopy. Further inland, rafting through churning white water became a mix of teamwork and laughter, paddles clashing, voices rising over the roar of the rapids, and then the calm stretches afterward when we drifted together in silence, letting the jungle surround us. And of course, no trip to Costa Rica is complete without standing in awe at the base of a volcano. The one we visited loomed huge and powerful, steam curling from its side, a reminder of the raw energy that shapes this landscape.These are the kinds of moments Costa Rica gives so generously, the kind that stitch people together in ways that screens and schedules back home never can.
