Katie was phenomenal to work with. She really went above and beyond. She was very responsive to my requests and when unexpected things happened during travel (which happens alot in 2022!). I would use her again a million times over.
She was especially responsive to my children's needs, as a single mama with two neurodiverse kiddos, international travel can be a lot - it was probably the most stress-free vacation I have taken since college (including those without kids!) It was the perfect balance of flexibility, freedom, and planned events.

There are not enough words to sing the praises of Katie Hartman! Katie took the reigns from the beginning and planned a trip of a lifetime for us. Her communication is 5 Star before, during and after the trip. She provided us detailed itineraries and all the travel vouchers we needed to make our trip completely seamless.
Katie is a seasoned traveler who pays great attention to detail. She is very intentional with all of her clients and provides them with impeccable customer service.
Our trip to Cape Town, South Africa did not disappoint. Katie booked The Taj Hotel in Cape Town which was incredible! She also found us a beautiful City Tour with a wonderful guide. And the absolute highlight was the tour to The Cape of Good Hope and Boulder's Beach. We had the same guide for both days which made the tours even better!

We saw and did things we've never seen or done before! None of this would have been possible without Katie constantly working with us through our travels. On our first travel day the plane we were about to board was struck by lighting and our flight was cancelled. We got on the phone with Katie and she took over from there. She rebooked us in a new hotel and on a new flight the following day. She continued to follow up with us to make sure everything was going as planned. Katie simply made the process smooth and easy! A year delay on our trip to Ireland due to medical issues did not dampen the experience. While Katie was able to book much of the same lodging from last year, even when she could not, she found amazing facilities at lovely locations. Katie's worked to provide us with options for sightseeing and exploring. As per her usual service, those options were perfect for our trip focus. She had good tips on seeing the more touristy places without having to deal with large crowds. We love out-of-the-way places and more local, off-the-beaten path places and Katie gave us great ideas. Amazing European Vacation!

Our dream of visiting Italy has come true. Katie arranged our trip based on our choice of cities to visit, starting in Milan and ending in Sorrento. We cannot stop saying “it was such a great trip. No major hiccups. Better than we could have even imagined.”
The hotels were great for the most part. Only one problem with the Romanico Palace in Rome. You might want to rethink this establishment as an option. Unahotels Galles Milano, Aparthotel Forte 16, Florence, Hilton Sorrento Palace (luxury).

Togo and back again

Katie is a great travel agent. I asked her to explore several possibilities for my mission trip to the African nation of Togo. This is not a premier destination for most travelers, thus the flights are somewhat limited. Katie found a good combination of flights, and booked them along with a travelers insurance package that can be so important. The most challenging part of this journey is the total duration of travel, including down time in airports like ATL and CDG. I found that about half of the overall travel time was in airports, and the other half in the air. But flying Delta and Air France was very good, even if long in duration. My flights went smoothly, but I was reassured by knowing that Katie was continually checking our travel status, as she has done in the past. This year was smooth sailing in both directions, but on a similar trip in 2016 we were stranded in Paris by a strike of the flight attendants, and Katie was aware of it before we were, and made all the neces

Anniversary celebration

Bucket list trip!!

This was my first time using someone who planned an entire trip. Katie asked what our goals were for our trip and planned the perfect getaway. No issues at all. Loved how she booked our rooms an extra day for our early arrival and very late departure. Best Agent on a Long Trip Home

She is quick and helpful and very courteous when working with you. She helped set up a new flight for my coworkers and me after I emailed and explained the situation. We just had to go to our new gate and print tickets. She had seats for us too. Made the rest of the trip much easier after sitting for hours in the airport due to flight delays. We only got home from our international flight 3 hours late.

A beautiful place to visit

Working with Katie was very easy and she was very accommodating. We scheduled a vacation to St. Maarten in April but unfortunately we had to cancel our trip at the last minute. Katie assisted us with filing a claim with the insurance we purchased for the trip. Once we were ready to travel again we reach out to her to plan the trip that we had cancel earlier. She provided us with exactly what we were looking for in a vacation. Throughout this process she remained in contact with us consistently through emails. Our Honey Moon

With planning a wedding and other crazy things going on in our life we knew we wanted to go through a travel planner. My brother-in-law recommended Katie to us and I am so happy we went with her. After talking with her and telling her our idea, which was adventure and a little luxury. She helped to combine these ideas and made this the most easy-going trip filled with all of the fun we wanted. Even with a few hiccups with storms cancelling our flights - she was there at 11pm to answer our panicked call to help find a solution. Once we got to Costa Rica our we had all our excursions planned and they were the perfect activity level for us. And when we wanted to relax we had the spa at our resort. We knew that if there were any issues Katie would take care of it and take care of us. She made this trip stress free and I can’t recommend her more.

A few weeks before our trip to the United Kingdom, I was worried about planning fun things for us. Someone suggested a travel agency but I it was taking to long to get responses. Best Trip to South Carolina!

Katie is a master! Because of COVID protocols there were multiple last minute changes. When it became clear that Florida would not be an option, Katie quickly found nearby options in Alabama and South Carolina.

First Fly Fishing Trip

Katie has put together several fishing trips for myself, family and friends now. She is always very responsive to all of our travel needs, and she is even been able to help us recently in getting return airfares from airlines due to Covid-19. I could not have imagined trying to deal with these difficult type of issues that I have read about, and I didn't because it was all handled by her. One less thing to worry about, and I am very thankful. It made this trip even more pleasant.

Beautiful Rwanda

Katie was absolutely on top of everything. She was sure to let us know what would be important for us to pursue in regards to travel amenities and insurance on our trip, without being pushy to make us spend more money than we intended. She was absolutely ESSENTIAL when it came time for us to cut our trip short due to flights getting cancelled for COVID-19. She found us a way out of the country and back to the US that routed us around hot spots and got us back quickly and without too much hassle. I have never used a travel agent before and originally thought it was an 'excessive' purchase. After my experience on this trip, I would say it was 100% absolutely worth it, and I plan to use Katie again on subsequent trips!

Great family trip to Japan

Katie was friendly and professional as she made arrangements for our family trip to Japan. She responded promptly to my questions and requests.
Katie has spent significant time in Japan and was able to assure me that the language barrier would not be much of a problem. She was right! Katie was able to provide us with everything I asked for, which included Japan Rail Passes, Disney Sea tickets, and Robot Restaurant reservations. Our family, with members from four different decades, had a great trip.
She worked with a Japanese agency to deliver some of our tickets in Japan. The agent from that company was also wonderfully helpful.
I normally make these arrangements on my own, but kept hitting roadblocks with this trip. I wish I had gone to Katie for everything from the very start!

I highly recommend Katie Hartman as a travel agent. Katie has helped us plan week long mission trips for 9 years. My original contact with her came as a result of a recommendation by a missionary. She has professionally, securely, and accommodatingly booked international flights to South America and Africa, as well as reserving domestic hotel accommodations. Each time, she has thoughtfully considered our expressed needs and recommendations. She has also informatively answered any questions we have had. We especially found Katie's services useful when one of our connecting flights was cancelled and she was able to have us booked on another one before we began our long flight home. We will be booking through Katie again soon, for both professional and personal travel.
