Hi! I'm Kara, the founder of Kindred Spirits Wanderlust, travel for like minded individuals. I specialize in crafting fully customizable itineraries to a variety of destinations, providing my tips and expertise along the way. In 2024 I bid goodbye to my 20 year career as a small business owner and took the leap to turn my passion for travel into my full time profession. While I have over 25+ years of experience globetrotting, it was only in 2022 that I started to really focus in on vegan travel. I've eaten my way all around the world from Nebraska (slim pickings) all the way to Prague (vegan wonderland) and everywhere in-between. Being vegan doesn't have to define where you travel, you just have to know how to travel. I'm here to help you plan your dream vacation, wherever that might be and make sure there are options for each individual travelers wants and needs.

Our trip was truly special

Kara nailed it. She found us a gorgeous beachfront resort with beautiful white sand, a stunning room with special upgrades, incredible food, water sports included — everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. It was the kind of trip where you don't want to leave.
We were not far from Akumal which was a real highlight for me. We got a taste of local life, explored Half Moon Bay, found some wonderful art, and picked up great gifts for the kids.
Kara listened, understood exactly what we were after, and delivered.

Fantastic Family Vacation

My wife worked with Kara to find the absolute right place for our family, and our vacation was stellar. The kids got to swim, I got to play golf, and my wife got to enjoy time with her best friend at hydrotherapy.

Kara was extremely professional, and based on the description of what I was looking for in a vacation, she quickly emailed three options to get started. I chose the Blue Diamond Luxury Hotel almost immediately, as it checked all the boxes. Once I had a destination in mind, she arranged for the transfer service to and from the airport and back, the reservation at the resort, and gave me a heads up on a great flight deal. Every step of the way she was in contact with updates, recommendations of Mexican “basics” such as tipping, an exit tax that needed to be paid (not much but it was good to know and pay in advance), and overall covering things I hadn’t considered. That in itself was a reason to book her services. In addition, Kara went above and beyond in getting me to my destination. The night before my flight out of our small local airport, weather impacted the flight schedule and the first leg of my trip had been cancelled. She immediately went online and waited endlessly on the phone to get me rebooked out of another airport 60 miles away. She had totally saved my trip and I made it on time to my connecting flight. I’ve already recommended Kara to several people, and she’ll be the first person I’ll mention if someone wants a hassle-free booking experience.
