Nannette was helpful in coordinating all of our airfare for my group.

The experience was exceptional.

Prior to heading on the best trip of my life to South Africa we encountered several issues. It began when our departure flight was cancelled the day before departure. Our group of 12 was in panic at the idea. Although we do not blame the TA for this, several of us reached out to her to get more information and guidance but she was MIA. Messages were left but not returned. As our TA with a group of 12 heading out of the country the next day, she should've been proactive by sending an email to her clients that she is aware of the situation and will provide updates ASAP, and returned all calls she received (1st issue). We started to receive emails from the airline with new flight information and were then relieved. At this time, we realized two passengers were not receiving emails. Turns out they never received emails directly from the airline, but only through the travel agent. They had no flight information or details and were only informed by others in the group of the changes. They called the airline and was informed the incorrect email was given when airfare was booked. Had they not been a part of the group they would've never known of the changes (2nd issue). The only call she returned was for the primary planner of the group. She asked Nannette if the transfers would be changed since we would now arrive 4 hours earlier and was told it would be taken care of. We arrived in Cape Town at 5:55pm and found the Gate One transportation agent who stated our names were not on his list. Turns out it was not changed by the TA to reflect new arrival time. Gate One made several calls for transportation large enough for 12 passengers and their belongings which took a while. We were at the airport for 2 hours before being picked up at 8pm (3rd issue). Our Gate One tour guide at the hotel was very upset, apologetic, and stated they were never informed of changes, and a report would be filed. Our tour guide was a 10/10.

Working with Nannette was wonderful except there was a miscommunication with transfers. The transfers (apprx 98.00 each way) were not needed. It was much more cost effective to use an Uber service or taxi.
