October 16th, was my birthday, and for my 80th, birthday I wanted to spend a whole seven days on a Southern Caribbean Cruise. I discussed it with my wife who agreed and suggested that I share the invitation to some of my close friends, which I did.
A few close friends who could get time off from work came along with us. I booked the cruise with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines on the ship Rhapsody Of The Seas.
We embarked in San Juan, and had five stops in five different Islands. The following morning, we disembarked in Saint Thomas US Virgin Islands. My Brother-In-Law who resides there, came to meet us by the Ship and drove us all over the Islands, had lunch, Beverages, then took us back on time to the Ship. The following morning, we arrived in Saint Croix, where I lived in the 60s and some my children were also born there. Three of my friends also were my neighbors when I lived there, came to meet us by the Ship. Two decided to prepare lunch for the group and the other volunteered to drive us around, which he did for hours. He also took us to a Pigs' Farm, where the pigs are given actual beer in bottles to drink. He also took us to the different areas of the Islands showing us how the Island has been developed to entertain tourism. After returning to the house we eat what was prepared for us, (ALL FRESH AND LOCALLY CULTIVATED).
After we eat and talked, time was limited, therefore we had to leave for the Ship. The following day, we disembarked in saint Martin, but did very little since we still had two other Islands to visit where there will be lots of other activities.
The next morning, we reached in Barbados, where my oldest daughter had spoken to her best friend to meet and take us around. She took the day off from work, met us by the Ship, drove us all over Barbados. Then afterwards, took us to a local fast food local chain restaurant names Cheffett. Their wraps and Roti were Finger Licking Good. When we were finished, I went to the Cashier to pay, only to be told that the lady who brought us to the restaurant, paid for everything. After we eat she took us to her home and workplace then back to the Ship.
The 16th, and also the last day of Island Hoping, would be Saint Lucia. Now that day in general was great. Saint Lucia is my birthplace, and also that day was my birthday, and that is the Island I still have lots of brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and the list goes on. One of my nieces came to meet us by the Ship then drove us straight to a beach. I was completely in shock to have seen that many relative and friends, and most of all, she prepared the most lavish Beach Birthday Party in my honor. The music, food, beverages were out of this world. We had so much to eat that none of us did not have dinner in the Ship that evening.
The good result about this Birthday Cruise is, the people I brought with me loved everything they saw, and have invited themselves for a repeat, and promised to bring along friends.
