Howdy! I’m Janet Severs, a passionate traveler that loves to find the hidden gems wherever I go. As an avid reader I view every trip as an opportunity to write the next chapter in my book of life. This is one factor in me choosing my name, Sage & Story Travel. Travel means something different to everyone. However, I feel like it should be a stress free as possible, and include whatever you enjoy! My husband took me on my first cruise in 2021  to Alaska and I have been hooked ever since. Cruising stays on the top of my list when planning our next get-a-way.

When I retired from the world of education in 2023 I took the next year and explored a wide variety of destinations. Some of my favorites include Germany, Switzerland, Scotland, California, Hawaii, and Alaska. I’ve always got a bucket list of new places to try. Do you? 

I feel like every trip is an opportunity to do something new, try something new, and connect with others. Connections are what keep us going when we need a little extra boost. A girls weekend is always filled with love, laughter, and stronger bonds. I’ve got a group of college sorority sisters that we took a cruise together a few years ago that has turned into an annual event with other meet ups in-between throughout the year. Each time we get together it’s like we’ve never been apart.

Traveling with my husband is one of my favorite things to do. You will find us marking another baseball stadium off our list, attending a concert, driving out of the way to go to that one hole in the wall restaurant we heard about, or hopping on a tram around a new city to see what we can find. Those are some of our best memories and stories to share. 

When starting to curate a trip I ask lots of questions to ensure I am planning the best experience for each client. Do you want low key or high adventure? Food forward or outdoor experience driven? Each time my husband and I take off on a road trip, airplane, cruise, bus tour, or any other experience I say we are going on an adventure.
