• I love the joy that comes with travel, and I love to travel with my best friend and husband Rodney.  I consider my true start as a travel advisor as 2011; my official start was in 2022.  In 2022, I decided that I wanted to officially spend time learning more about the travel industry, so I took an online course from Ashworth College and obtained a career diploma as a Travel Agent and combined the experience with my personal travel experiences.  I also took and passed the test administered by The Travel Institute for Travel Agents. Our agency, Discount Vacation Planner is a member of Cruise Line International Association and a partner of Allianz Travel Insurance. My husband and I are also certified Specialists for Sandals Resorts, Excellence Resorts, Marriott's Hotel Excellence, Hilton, Expedia, Carnival Cruise Line, Oceania, Virgin Voyages, Royal Caribbean, and many other suppliers.

I am also a Gold-Certified advisor by the Wellness Travel University. To cater to the needs of various customers, I have sought the assistance of a varied age group of independent contractors aged 22 to 57, and we each have a niche.  My husband and I are both educators with over 29 years in public education.   Rodney loves football, basketball, track, soccer, and baseball.  I love museums and beaches, so we try to incorporate both in our travels. I wish I could give one favorite destination, but I'm unable to list just one.  Each time we name a favorite travel destination, a new one takes its place. 

Discount Vacation Planner currently works with local clothing designers, personal care product makers (lotion, lip balm, sugar scrubs, and scented body butter creams, etc.), a candle maker, a sweet treat and cake maker, and a specialty gift designer; all have items on Amazon.
