I love Disney! Any and all things Disney. Every moment spent at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, is like living in a fairytale where dreams really do come true. From rope drop races to the first ride of the day (Space Mountain, Peter Pan or The Haunted Mansion are some of my favorite first rides at Magic Kingdom, or Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, Frozen Ever After or Test Track at EPCOT), to Mickey shaped snacks in every size and flavor, to fireworks bursting over Cinderella's Castle or EPCOT's World Showcase Lagoon; Disney World is full of magic that stays with you forever.
Not only is Disney World full of magic and pixie dust, but so is Disneyland in Anaheim, California. Both offer that pure Disney magic, but both offer a little different vibe as well, depending on your mood. Disney World is massive and more of a vacation destination (I fully believe in the Disney-bubble, where staying on-site and fully immersing yourself in all things Disney makes the magic brighter and last longer). Disneyland is more intimate and nostalgic. It's a smaller scale with two theme parks (Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure) and is easily walkable between the parks and Downtown Disney where tasty restaurants and shops abound. Disney World has four theme parks (Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom) and two water parks (Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon), as well as a Downtown Disney which is known as Disney Springs. Buses, monorails, the Skyliner, Friendship Boats, and cars are all modes of transportation needed to travel between Disney World parks, and all are fun options for kids of all ages.
One of my favorite things (besides the rides) is the food. All the Mickey shaped treats are not only cute, but taste like magic. The turkey legs are tasty, the dole whips are delicious and the character breakfasts are definitely not to be missed. Chef Mickey's is one of my family's favorites where you can indulge in all the breakfast treats while dancing with Mickey and Pals. Opportunities for photos and hugs for the whole family is a special moment that will last a lifetime. Another one of my family's favorites is the table-service restaurant at EPCOT: Space 220. A restaurant that is truly out of this world! First you take a space elevator ride where you ascend to the stars and enjoy views of Earth, then you are seated near massive windows that allow you to actually dine among the stars while enjoying the most delicious, cosmic flavors. Food options are endless at Disney, and available for any budget. There are many quick-service options available at all parks, where you can order via the Disney World or Disneyland app and pick-up at a designated time to avoid waiting in yet another line. The food is yummy at every park and fits every taste for every person both young and young at heart.
Disney delivers on resort amenities as well. You can choose from value resorts, to moderate, to deluxe. Each resort provides free Disney transportation to parks and resorts (bus, monorail, Skyliner, and boat). Early entry to each park, 30 minutes prior to general admission. These extra minutes provide time for the best photo ops; not only is the morning light perfect for the most magical shot in front of Cinderella's Castle, but you can get first in-line-dibs to enter the park and race to your first ride of the day (Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway, Tower of Terror or Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run are some of my favorite first rides at Hollywood Studios, or Kilimanjaro Safaris, Expedition Everest or DINOSAUR at Animal Kingdom). Being a guest at a Disney resort also provides early access to booking your table-service dining reservations and Genie + booking (the new Fast Pass). Staying on-site at Disney is really what completes the Disney-bubble and keeps you living in the magic for your entire vacation. It is my personal favorite, and I will always encourage everyone to stay on site to experience the pure magic of the Disney-bubble.
Every moment is magical at Disney. If you're meeting Mickey for the first time, or the 100th time, it's a special moment that is cherished forever. The magic is real, and abundant at Disney, where every trip is filled with laughter, connection, and joy. It is one of the happiest places on Earth and I would love to help plan your most magical trip. And as Mickey would say, "See ya real soon!".
