Universal Parks & Resorts VacationsAbout Me
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to step into a dream—an exclusive preview of Universal Studios Epic Universe, the latest and most ambitious theme park in the Universal Orlando Resort lineup. And let me tell you right from the start: if Universal’s goal was to deliver the "Woah" factor, they absolutely nailed it.
Celestial Park: The Luminous Heart of the Universe
Your adventure begins in Celestial Park, the main hub of Epic Universe. It's the gateway to all the other lands, and you'll find yourself returning here throughout the day. But this isn’t just a connector—it’s an attraction all its own. Picture elegant gardens, flowing fountains, and an ambiance that feels both majestic and serene. The blend of celestial motifs and cosmic architecture gives the whole area a magical, almost spiritual feeling. It was the perfect starting point. Not only does it set the stage for what's to come, but it also offers a place to relax, soak in the atmosphere, and catch your breath before leaping into another universe. This area felt peaceful, like the calm between the adventures.'
Super Nintendo World: Living My Childhood Dream
From Celestial Park, I took my first portal—and wow, did it hit me in the heart. Super Nintendo World was everything I hoped for and more. As someone who grew up playing Donkey Kong and Mario games, stepping into this universe almost brought tears to my eyes. The colors, the sounds, the interactivity—everything was spot on.I entered through the iconic warp pipe, and instantly, I was in another world. I raced on the Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge ride, which was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. Augmented reality, practical sets, and a competitive twist—it’s pure joy. Then there’s Donkey Kong Country. For someone who spent countless hours collecting bananas on a TV screen, walking through the lush jungle landscapes and boarding the Mine Cart Madness coaster was a full-circle moment.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic: A Magical Masterpiece
The next portal took me to Paris… but not just any Paris. This was the wizarding world version, complete with cobblestone streets, magical storefronts, and the gateway to the British Ministry of Magic. Fans of Fantastic Beasts will lose their minds here—it's that well done. The highlight was the major attraction that takes you on an epic battle deep within the Ministry. It’s a storytelling triumph, combining physical sets, digital wizardry, and a narrative that pulls you right into the middle of the action. Wand magic continues here too, with even more interactive spell locations and new surprises waiting around every corner.Walking through this area felt like living inside a book I’d read a thousand times. This land honors the legacy of Harry Potter while expanding its magical world in bold new ways.
Dark Universe: Chills, Thrills, and Classic Monsters Reborn
Ready for something darker? The portal to the Dark Universe delivers in every possible way. Gothic, eerie, and absolutely thrilling, this land is a love letter to Universal’s classic monsters—Frankenstein, Dracula, the Wolfman—and it’s got a moody edge that sets it apart. The central ride here was a standout: part haunted house, part roller coaster, and all adrenaline. I found myself caught in a wild, supernatural conflict, battling alongside (and against) creatures of the night. The atmosphere was thick with fog, the architecture was stunningly macabre, and even the food had a spooky twist.I didn’t know what to expect here, but I was completely blown away. It was intense, exciting, and totally different from the other lands. It showed just how much range Epic Universe truly has.
Isle of Berk: Flying with Dragons
After that intense journey, it was time to lighten things up—and where better than the Isle of Berk from How to Train Your Dragon? This land felt like a dream brought to life. With colorful viking villages, dragon-themed rides, and characters from the films walking around, it was as if I’d stepped into a DreamWorks animation.I got to “train” and interact with dragons, which is a treat for any age. There’s a family-friendly roller coaster, a live show, and water play areas for kids (and kids at heart). The entire space radiates warmth, adventure, and fun.Petting a dragon may sound silly, but it was one of the most charming and memorable moments of my day. It’s pure magic.
