My trip to Brazil

Rio de Janeiro

The thought of visiting Brazil was always appealing to me. Hence, when the time came, my wife and I, along with two friends, took the long flight to Sao Paulo. Sao Paulo is big, bold, and buzzing with energy. What a beautiful city, lined with tall skyscrapers, bustling with people in and  out of a variety of shops. We made our way to our hotel and were greeted with a beautiful room overlooking the city skyline. We took a quick nap, showered, and got ready to hit the road. We were well taken care of by our local friends. We had such a hectic day visiting parks, museums and historic sites. I love street food and Brazil did not disappoint. The food was mouthwatering, and the people were so friendly and hospitable. Some evenings, we went out to formal dinners and the meat was out of this world. Everything was so fresh and organic. After dinner, we enjoyed walking the streets, enjoying the beautiful street art, then making our way to catch some live music like samba and jazz. We spent 6 days in Sao Paulo and then took a short flight to the long-anticipated Rio de Janeiro. It was quite a different vibe in Rio. The hotel did not disappoint either. It was so pleasant to wake each morning to the sunrise over Sugarloaf Mountain. Coffee lovers run for their cappuccino and then head to the beach, which is just across the street from our hotel. Strolling along Copacabana and Ipanema beach, sipping coconut water, watching beach volleyball, and feeling the rhythm of the locals was a dream come true. As we made our way home, I kept reminiscing on what a beautiful time we had. I would love to return some day.
