Japan isn’t just a destination for me—it’s a lifelong passion. My journey into the heart of this extraordinary country began when my then-new husband took me east to discover Japan. But it was when we returned with our three children that I truly saw Japan in a new light. Through their eyes, I explored beyond the well-trodden paths of Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka—uncovering hidden gems that define the true essence of Japan.
Takayama’s preserved Edo-era streets, the spiritual serenity of Wakayama, the artistry of Obuse, and the coastal beauty of Ise Shima—these are the places where Japan’s soul lives. Walking the historic Nakasendo Trail, an ancient postal route connecting Kyoto and Tokyo, immerses travelers in the footsteps of samurai and merchants who once journeyed these same paths centuries ago. The Kumano Kodo, a revered pilgrimage route, winds through misty forests and sacred shrines, offering a spiritual connection to Japan’s deep-rooted traditions. These journeys—whether backpacking or day hiking—are far more immersive than simply strolling through a city.
Luxury in Japan is about more than opulence—it’s about exclusivity, authenticity, and knowing where to look. That’s where I come in. For over six years, I’ve curated luxury Japan itineraries that blend sophistication with depth. My relationships with local guides mean my travelers never need to fear the language barrier or the intricacies of navigating Japan’s rail system. I know the right stops, the perfect accommodations, and the most seamless routing to make a once-in-a-lifetime journey effortless.
In Japan, every traveler has the chance to uncover something profound—something beyond what they expected. I have spent years learning, and I continue learning with every guest who returns with new stories, new perspectives, and a new found love for Japan.
That’s what makes me an expert. I never stop discovering.
