With 30 years of experience as a first responder myself, I know firsthand the stresses and sacrifices that come with our line of work. One of my proudest moments was planning a multi-leg trip for my wife, mom, and mother-in-law, which included booking cruises, hotels, and flights with seamless coordination. In fact, my passion for travel was reinforced during a recent trip with my wife to Toronto. We were on a tight schedule to catch a game, but our flight was delayed due to storms. Instead of stressing, I quickly arranged a rental car and drove us across New York state overnight, ensuring we still made it in time for the game. This experience, like so many others, taught me how important it is to stay calm and resourceful—and how much I enjoy handling those unexpected challenges, so you don’t have to.
