Accessibility isn’t just a professional interest for me — it’s personal. As someone with an invisible disability, and as a daughter who has travelled with a disabled parent, I’ve seen firsthand how quickly a trip can become stressful when accessibility is treated as an afterthought. I’ve also seen how transformative travel becomes when the right support is in place.

That’s why I became a Special Needs Group Accessible Travel Advocate. This certification helps me advocate more effectively for travelers who use mobility devices, need medical equipment, or simply require thoughtful planning to feel safe and comfortable on the road. But more importantly, it gives me the tools to ask the right questions, anticipate barriers, and create trips that feel genuinely possible, not just theoretically accessible.
