Once sacred to the Cheyenne, Mountain Ute, and Arapaho tribes, Manitou is home to eight natural mineral spring fountains, four of which are located in the walkable town center. These beautifully sculpted springs, once believed to be the breath of the Great Spirit “Manitou,” still bubble with natural spring water. From climbing the 2,768 steps of the Manitou Incline to exploring ghost tours, quirky shops, and a rich past shaped by gold rushes, healing retreats, and 1960s counterculture — I’ll create a trip that reveals every fascinating layer!
