Chicago Navy pier- July 2024

I have been in the travel industry for 4 years. After being in the mental health field for 8 years. When COVID hit, it changed my career.I found a "gig" booking hotels for people and soon after that I started booking other vacations. I never once felt like I was working again, this is a passion of mine! I never looked back at my old career again and soon decided I wanted to become my own boss and here I am!

My favorite place to visit is Washington DC! I have visited there yearly since 2013 and I even did an internship there and lived there for 3 months at once point as well. I have family living there, so I know where all of the cool touristy things are including free museums, and historical sights as well as all of the off the beaten path eateries and activities that are cool and less saturated with tourists! 

My second favorite place to visit is Traverse City, MI. I live only 3 hours away so this is a fun quick trip for my husband and I! We love visiting all of the wineries, have taken wine tours and also know where to find the best hotels (and have probably stayed at most of them!) Someday I'd like to retire there!

Our most recent trip was to Chicago. We took an Amtrak train to Chicago and stayed in a boutique hotel. My favorite thing was taking a sightseeing tour around the city to see of the architecture and back to the Navy pier.
