My first visit to Switzerland was in 2003 when my husband and I, along with our two young children (then 5 and 8), took advantage of our year living in England to explore Europe. I planned the entire trip myself, relying on online research and personal travel blogs, which led me to what I now consider the most beautiful place in the world.We stayed in Mürren, a charming, car-free Alpine village, and getting there was an adventure in itself—navigating trains, cable cars, and a funicular to reach this serene mountain retreat. Once there, we hiked through open alpine meadows, passing Swiss farmhouses and grazing cows with their iconic bells ringing through the crisp mountain air. This first experience sparked my deep love for Switzerland, inspiring countless return visits and a passion for sharing its magic with others.
