I started working as a travel adviser in 2024, but my love of all things travel started long ago. As a single female, traveling can be challenging depending upon the destination, exciting, and rejuvenating. I began traveling alone internationally in 2009.  I had always wanted to go to Africa and was provided an opportunity to do so, but as I had not traveled alone or internationally before, I decided to take a practice trip. I ventured to an all-inclusive resort in Riviera Maya outside of Cancun.  I have returned to that resort about 18 times.  Habit and service are the main reasons, but the people are the main reason, and they have helped me go beyond the resort walls to explore the region.  I did go to Kenya and loved it! So I went back. I discovered that a 4-hour layover can very easily be converted to a few days without much change in cost, so spent time in Amsterdam, which I returned to recently with family in tow. I have planned trips to other European destinations and after relaying my plans, have had other family members join me on the trips. Family and friends are always asking about my next trip and for advice about their own, which I happily provide.  It's hard to build a niche when you want to go everywhere and see everything!  A background teaching world history will have that affect on a person.
