I have spent my entire life cruising.  So it's no shock to see that as a professional travel agent, I had to focus my travel expertise in the cruise industry.  

I began cruising at the age of 8 with my family.  I absolutely fell in love with cruising.  Even as a young child, my parents always took us on cruises, even to Alaska as a child.  Clients ask me all the time if their children or grandchildren will enjoy Alaska and I can say 100%, YES!  

Not only do I love the huge megaships, but now I appreciate and have come to LOVE the smaller ships, the yacht ships, the sailing ships, and river cruising.  

Once you have "been there, done that" with the megaships, it is time to try out the smaller ships and also river cruising.  

The smaller ships and river cruising is a totally different experience and it's definitely something you should try out.  It's a more port-intensive experience.  it's more about your ship being the floating hotel than it is about "sea days" and experiencing the ship.  it's about experiencing the charming villages and docking in the heart of a city. I can't recommend it enough.
