What’s your first memory of ocean cruising? Mine was gathering around the TV to watch the “Love Boat” each week. Cruising has certainly come a long way since.

Whether it’s a big ship experience, a desire to enjoy adventures on board (think wave surfing, water slides, zip lines, ice skating and more), the culinary experiences available, relaxing pool side, or small ships that can take you to more remote destinations, with dozens of cruise lines that cater to all types of passengers, locations and interests, there is a cruise line – or several – out there for everyone.

Cruises are great for multi-generational family travel. Most offer kids’ clubs (usually ages 3 – 17) and activities for all ages. What about special birthdays or graduations? They’re great for romance travel: weddings (Did you know not all ship captains are able to perform legal weddings on board? Make sure you book your wedding with one that does!), honeymoons, anniversaries, and more. With cruises starting at just 3 days, they’re also great for bachelorette or bachelor parties, and girl-friend trips. For last minute planners, if you live near a port, there are often great get-away options that can be booked just a few weeks before sailing. Have you ever considered having a business meeting on-board a ship? Or giving away a cruise as an incentive or bonus for a job well done?

    We were looking to rent a motorhome for a week to take our little children camping. Carolyn found us a great deal on a 30 foot motor home for the week through the July 4th holiday as well as a nice campground near the area we were interested in visiting. We also mentioned that we may be needing to rent a car for a few days while we were there. Carolyn was able to set that up for us last minute on a Sunday afternoon.
