About Me

Autism is a design input, not an afterthought.
Autism is a design input, not an afterthought.

Travel can be magic for autistic and neurodivergent travelers and the families who love them. It can also be a nightmare, if the planning treats autism as an afterthought.

I am an IBCCES Certified Autism Travel Professional and a Certified Autism Specialist based in Clermont, Florida. I have completed the IBCCES (International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards) coursework on autism, sensory processing differences, communication preferences, and travel accommodation. Autism is a design input from the first conversation, not an accommodation tacked on later.

Destinations I Plan
• IBCCES Certified Autism Centers including Beaches Resorts in Turks and Caicos and Jamaica, Sesame Place, and Discovery Cove
• Walt Disney World and Disneyland with Disney's Disability Access Service (DAS)
• Universal Orlando and Universal Hollywood with the Attraction Assistance Pass
• Family cruises on Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Disney Cruise Line, and Carnival
• All inclusive resorts with quiet pool areas and predictable dining

How I Work
Pre arrival planning for autistic travelers and the families traveling with them. Sensory previews of unfamiliar spaces. Visual schedules and social stories where helpful. Communication preference accommodation. Quiet stateroom or quiet room selection. Sensory friendly excursion choices. Dietary verification, which often runs parallel to autism for the families I serve. Routine protection, including travel time, meals, and bedtime structure.I mirror the language each traveler uses about themselves. Some families say autistic traveler. Some say traveler with autism. I follow your lead.

A Few Questions Clients Ask
Q: What is an IBCCES Certified Autism Center?
A: A property or destination that has trained at least 80 percent of its guest facing staff in autism awareness and travel accommodation through IBCCES. Beaches Resorts is one. Sesame Place is another. Verified, not marketing.
Q: Do you plan trips for autistic adults, not just children?
A: Yes. Autism is a lifelong identity, not a childhood condition. I plan for autistic adult travelers, couples, and families across every age.

This is not travel planning. This is advocacy, verification, and emotional relief. I'm just a phone call away.

Shannon knows her theme parks!
Reviewed By Jessica - Weston FL | Traveled to Universal Orlando ~ Florida ~ USA
Shannon has booked our stay at Universal. She had plenty of feedback and helpful suggestions to help us decide where to stay, how the express passes work, and what restaurants we might enjoy at the resorts. She is an open book regarding her experience and recommendations for the parks, both Disney and Universal. She is very quick to respond and goes above and beyond to be helpful to her clients. I won’t hesitate to reach out to her again for our next trip and will definitely be recommending her to friends and family.
I would recommend this agent to my family and friends.

Three trips with Shannon. More on the calendar.
Shannon has been my go to travel agent for most of my trips. She has helped plan, execute, and have three amazing trips and more being planned. She is thorough in understanding what you want, takes time to find the best deals and what suits you, and provides excellent advice along the way. Before, during, and after our trips Shannon has been attentive to issues, needs, and works to address these immediately. She works hard so you don't have to and can enjoy your vacations. I would and have referred her to multiple people to plan their dream trips.

Disney with a gluten allergy. Above and beyond.
Above and beyond support and great tips and suggestions for traveling to Disney World with a Gluten Allergy. Shannon was the best to work with and loved having her as a guide in planning, preparing, and enjoying our trip to Disney World!

Above and beyond for our sensory kiddo at Disney.
Such a huge help for this anxious mama and dad traveling to Disney World with our sensory sensitive kiddo. Shannon handled all the booking for hotel, flights, transportation, and dining reservations. She explained how to use the DAS pass and where we could take our daughter for a break from over stimulation. She went above and beyond helping us navigate the airport when we were lost in it at midnight.

Celiac on a cruise. Comfortable from day one.
As a family with dietary restrictions (Celiac and other allergies), we were nervous to do a cruise. Shannon helped us choose the right cruise line and guided us on how to make sure we were comfortable with the food on board. She was always willing to answer any questions that we had.

Surprising the Wife, aka the Planner!
After many years of my wife and I not having a true vacation with just the two of us, Shannon helped plan one of the best Disney vacations we've ever had! She was responsive, transparent, and always provided suggestions to compare pros and cons. I had a last minute idea to surprise my wife with a dinner reservation that was needed less than 5 days from the dinner and Shannon jumped through hoops to make it happen! My wife was truly surprised by the dinner and we had a great time. I would highly recommend Shannon for all your travel needs and looking forward to her guidance on future trips!
