Dreams Vallarta Bay: A Gem in the Hyatt offerings

I was recently invited to experience Dreams Vallarta Bay, a property that has become a part of Hyatt’s renowned Inclusive Collection. Upon arrival, I discovered a spacious and welcoming facility that, despite its size, manages to maintain an intimate and approachable atmosphere - something I greatly value in a resort.

During my stay, I had the opportunity to tour the rooms at the neighboring Secrets Vallarta Bay. While Secrets properties offer the unique Secret box feature for discreet room service, the room design and layout at Dreams stood out for me. The thoughtful architecture and spatial arrangement at Dreams provided an inviting sense of comfort that I particularly appreciated.

As for dining, the resort’s culinary offerings were delightful. With a range of cuisines to explore, there was something to satisfy every palate. That said, having just returned from a trip to Italy, I couldn’t help but find the Italian dishes lacking that genuine regional flavor - an experience that's understandably hard to match outside of Italy's borders.

One of the major draws of Dreams Vallarta Bay is its expansive, swimmable beach. This stretch of coastline is perfect for relaxation and water activities. As with all Mexican beaches, it’s public, so you’ll encounter local vendors selling various goods and tours. While there may be interesting offers, I recommend discretion, as these vendors might not be licensed or insured like the trusted operators and hotel partners I typically recommend.

For those staying on the Dreams side, I suggest purchasing a pass to enjoy the amenities at Secrets Vallarta Bay. This access grants you the chance to indulge in their exclusive dining venues, where you’ll find a selection of wines perfectly kept at an ideal drinking temperature. Additionally, the Secrets side often offers a more peaceful ambiance, a lovely contrast to the livelier Dreams side.

One minor critique is the interplay of entertainment from the blended campus setup, which can occasionally be distracting. Despite this, the resort wonderfully balances relaxation with vibrancy, making it a fantastic place to unwind and enjoy.

In summary, Dreams Vallarta Bay is a magnificent property that I strongly recommend. Its unique blend of inclusivity and luxury, coupled with its warm hospitality and broad array of amenities, ensures a memorable stay. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!
