More than Pyramids - Cairo Travel Specialist

In the summer of 2022, I spent two months living in downtown Cairo. During my time there, I was fully immersed in the local lifestyle—exploring iconic landmarks, trying traditional Egyptian dishes, volunteering at churches and schools, and connecting with locals and refugees through home visits.

When most people think of Egypt, they picture the Pyramids, the Sphinx, the Nile, or maybe the Red Sea. While I feel incredibly lucky to have experienced those amazing sights firsthand, I also discovered that there's so much more to this beautiful country than most brochures and social media posts tend to show. In fact, some of my favorite places in Cairo are hidden gems many travelers have never heard of, such as the Citadel, Cave Church, and Al-Azhar Park.
