When I became a golf teaching professional, PGA, WGTF (World Golf Teachers Federation), US Kids Coach in 1996, I was approached by one of my clients in my very first year who asked, “Have you ever taken your clients on a golf trip”? And there it was - my opening to a whole new world of adventure.

So fast forward to today, and I have completed over 55 golf trips to the Caribbean Islands, Mexico, and the USA, and  have visited 48 countries not including Canada and the USA where I have visited 7 provinces and 34 states.

I have played golf in 25 countries and have played at least 31 courses in other parts of the world including Europe and South Africa,  55 golf courses in Canada and 82 in the USA.

My golf experience and exposure is unprecedented as a travel agent.

But my golf trips to these islands and beyond have always been so much more than just the golf. Time spent enjoying the local flavours, culture, and countryside, to the delicious street food in some places, were also of great importance.

These extracurricular activities were just as valuable as the amazing golf courses that we played. Lucky for me, many of my fellow golfers felt the same way and have enjoyed all these amenities:  island tours, visits to mountains and hot springs, beaches away from the resort or hotel, snorkel or scuba diving in some of the clearest waters you’ll ever see, riding a catamaran to see an island from the sea and bathe with dolphins and manta rays, while having a rum punch on board to make the ride even more enjoyable.- all while island music is playing in the background - what’s not to like.
