Cliffs of Moher, County Clare, Ireland

Ireland has always been part of my story. I grew up hearing my grandmother talk about leaving Ireland, and how when she arrived in New York, “the Big Lady” — the Statue of Liberty — was there to greet her. Those stories stayed with me long before I ever visited myself and shaped the way I thought about Ireland as something deeply personal, not just a place on a map.

When I finally made my first trip in 2012, it felt familiar in a way I didn’t expect. I was traveling with my family, and my son had very strong opinions about what mattered most: the food. He declared the hamburgers “the best in the world,” which, coming from a 12-year-old, is about as high a compliment as it gets. I remember the food being genuinely delicious, the cider even better — and yes, you absolutely need to have a Guinness while you’re there. What stood out most, though, was how welcoming Ireland felt. It was easy, warm, and comfortable right from the start — like a place you could settle into without trying.

I’m heading back again in summer 2026, and I’m incredibly proud to share that I’ve recently gained my Irish citizenship. That milestone made my connection to Ireland feel even deeper — not just as a place I love to visit, but as a place that truly feels personal.

Ireland may be a small island, but it offers an incredible amount of variety, and understanding its regions makes all the difference when planning a meaningful trip.

The Wild Atlantic Way stretches along the west coast and delivers soaring cliffs, crashing waves, and unforgettable views. This is where you’ll find the Cliffs of Moher, the Aran Islands with their strong sense of tradition, and classic drives like the Ring of Kerry. It’s rugged, windswept, and perfect for travelers who love big scenery and coastal exploring.

Ireland’s Ancient East lies along the eastern side of the island and is where the stories really start to stack up. Castles, ancient sites, and medieval towns are everywhere, yet it never feels stuffy or heavy. It’s a wonderful fit for travelers who enjoy culture, heritage, and places that feel layered and lived-in.

The Hidden Heartlands feel quieter and more personal — and they hold a special place in my heart. This is lake country, slow roads, and space to breathe. There’s even a lake that shares my name — Lough Ree — which always makes me smile, whether it’s coincidence or fate, I’ll never know. The River Shannon winds through the heart of this region, offering beautiful scenery, historic towns, and a wonderfully relaxed way to experience inland Ireland. It’s often an unexpected favorite for travelers who don’t want to rush from place to place.

Northern Ireland adds yet another unforgettable layer to an Irish itinerary. From the striking Giant’s Causeway to the historic city of Derry (Londonderry) with its intact city walls, the region is full of contrast and character. For fans of Game of Thrones, Northern Ireland is especially fun, with many key filming locations woven throughout the landscape — though even without that connection, the scenery alone is reason enough to go.

And then there’s Dublin. Lively, literary, and full of personality, Dublin is far more than just a gateway city. Historic streets, iconic pubs, live music, museums, and a fantastic food scene all come together effortlessly. It works beautifully as both a starting point and a finishing touch — and for families, there’s even the National Leprechaun Museum, a charming and imaginative stop that makes for a truly magical afternoon with kids (and honestly, adults too).

When it comes to planning Ireland, I focus on making it feel right for you. I curate custom self-driving journeys for travelers who want flexibility and freedom, and I also work with a wide range of small-group guided tours for those who prefer a bit more structure and storytelling. If driving isn’t your thing, Ireland is also very easy to get around by rail, especially between major cities and regions, making it a great option for a relaxed, car-free experience.

Whether by car, train, or guided touring, I design trips that match how you actually want to travel. Ireland is best enjoyed with a little breathing room — time to linger, wander, eat well, and strike up conversations with people who won’t feel like strangers for long. That’s the kind of journey I love to plan, and it’s the kind of Ireland I love to share.

If Ireland is calling your name — whether for the first time or as a return visit — I’d love to help you plan a journey that lets you truly experience the heart of the country.

A 100% positive experience !
Reviewed By Beja - Santa Monica/California | Traveled to Hungary | Europe
I had always organized my trips myself, but this year I was so overwhelmed by questions that I needed help. That's when I contacted Ree, who proved to be an excellent travel agent. My daughter and I were going to Hungary together, from where she later on was traveling to Croatia, then back to the U.S. Our journey was complicated because I needed a return ticket and my daughter needed multiple one-way tickets with seat reservations. She also needed a Flix- Bus ticket from Budapest to Split and I needed a rental car and a hotel reservation in Budapest. From the moment Ree took over the job everything seemed to work perfectly. Not only was she fast and efficient, she also took care of every details such as recommending us travel insurance, explaining the benefit of it. She has never left any of my questions unanswered and took the "or" out of the ordeal. She did her research and always came back with multiple options to choose from. When it was all done and settled , she sent us a link to "The Magic App" that had all our itinerary and documents in one place, that was so useful and easy to access. Ree was there for us all the way through our journey as she promised. She sent us a link to "Viator" where we could search for excursion activities including discount codes. I can not thank Ree enough for making our trip a 100% positive experience.

The long awaited trip back to Ireland

I hadn't been back to Ireland over 40 years, after having been there 4 other occasions in the late 1970s and early 80s. I worked and lived there for over a year on one of those. Ree helped me immensely in my travel planning. She has a real professional, yet still casual way of helping you in every aspect of your plans. Thank you, Ree!

Many fun activities on board and great food and drink. Loved the shopping and our photo sessions!! Ree had an itinerary plan and listed our excursions together. She is very thorough with plans and easy with directions while off the ship. She is always available to answers your questions and make suggestions. I will book with her again!
