Montenegro is an undiscovered treasure in Europe! If you want to enjoy the Italian coastal experience but avoid the crowds and get more for your money, go to Montenegro. Maegan booked a girls trip for me and a friend in Montenegro and it was unbelievable. We flew into Dubrovnik, Croatia and she booked a private transfer from the airport to our hotel in Montenegro. The drive was approximately one hour with a quick stop at the Croatia/Montenegro border. The Lazure Hotel & Marina had just opened for business and was immaculate and right on the beach. Breakfast and dinner were included daily and all were delicious. We booked a half day boat tour one afternoon and got to experience the crystal clear waters of Montenegro. The town of Herceg Novi was moments away from the hotel by taxi and is a medieval city that is easy to immerse yourself in for a day. The food is amazing, lots of fresh seafood. Would love to revisit and see more of Montenegro. We also had a day and night in Dubrovnik before our flight home which was an added treat! If you are a fan of Game of Thrones, visiting Dubrovnik is a must! If not, Dubrovnik is still a must to visit! A true medieval walled city. Maegan planned the perfect girls getaway from start to finish and I would trust her with all of my travel plans in the future!
