I've always been something of a wanderer, having moved on a regular basis as a young child. I was lucky to have many national parks as my backyard, giving me opportunities to explore: Zion National Park, Everglades National Park, Shenandoah National Park and Wind Cave National Park.
Although I always expressed an interest in traveling the world, I owe my amazing career, in large part, to my grandfather. This wonderful man loved to travel and, whenever he returned home from a new and exciting destination, he was accompanied by a scrapbook full of stamps, currency and other keepsakes from the country he'd visited.
Eager to follow in his footsteps, I first left the United States as a high school student. I spent an entire summer in France, where I discovered the transformative power of being immersed in a foreign culture.
Given my extensive experience with national parks and international expeditions, my entry into the travel industry was inevitable.
Certified - I became a Certified Travel Consultant with the Institute of Certified Travel Agents (ICTA) over twenty years ago and, since then, have enjoyed helping a variety of clients plan group tours and destination weddings.
ALASKA - I am particularly fond of escorting groups to Alaska, as I've discovered that the beautiful scenery and serene atmosphere can truly foster close bonds between friends, family members and even complete strangers.
RIVER CRUISES - I also enjoy planning trips for those interested in checking out Europe. A river cruise can be truly revitalizing, particularly when it is carefully planned by a knowledgeable travel agent. I have personally been on Uniworld, AmaWaterways, and Avalon Waterways.
COSTA RICA - I just got back from this lovely place and it is now one of my favorite places on this earth! So diverse! Arenal/Volcano area is amazing with lots of different types of tours. Great place for honeymooners or for people wanting to get away from it all. Guanacaste area--I stayed in a beautiful VILLA overlooking the Pacific ocean, and can help you in that aspect of travel, as well!

Our First All-Inclusive Trip

Working with Deb to plan our first trip to an all-inclusive resort was a great experience. We had a general idea of where and when we wanted to travel. Deb listened to us and was able to give us great options. She suggested if we changed our travel dates a little bit we could obtain non-stop flights at big savings. Deborah has been an incredible help in planning our trip in December, 2018. This will be our first river cruise and our first Christmas Market visit, so we really needed a lot of education. Her personal experience with several trips to the Rhine River provided many very useful and pertinent tips. She answered all of multiple questions (by e-mail and by phone) definitively and without delay. She guided our choice of deck and cabin, used the air consolidator to significantly reduce our air fare, and taught us about travel insurance to Europe, along with details on airport transfers. She accommodated our request to use 2 different credit cards for points/miles. We feel most comfortable in her care. She also helped us find a great hotel in Seattle to stay in pre-cruise at a price I couldn't get on my own. Deb was simply amazing! She planned our honeymoon, and it was so much more than we had ever expected! The resort she picked was simply amazing, private transportation waiting for us right outside the airport, and she also made amazing flight times. Serveral years ago after being married for 20 years my wife and I took our first big trip. We decided to take a tropical vacation out of the country. Deb asked what our budget was and what we were looking for in a vacation. She suggested El Dorado Royale and it was amazing. She also told us exaclty what would happen when the plane touched down since we were nervous about our first international trip. We avoided the time share people and went exactly to the point she told us to and were able to start our vacation stress free. We are leaving again in May for our third trip and we are going to try a different El Dorado property. I recommend her highly.
