Hi y'all, I’m Charlene, I started Shield Maiden - Legendary Travel Solutions after a long corporate career in Meeting Planning and Business Travel. I’ve always had a passion for exploring new places and experiencing different cultures.

As a youth, travel was a rare experience. Therefore, my passion for exploring new places and experiencing different cultures grew into a need. I gained Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) status in 2005. Since then, I have combined business with crafting solo adventures as well as family and friends travel, and only looked back in photos!

YOUR ADVOCATE! While my travel experiences have been exceptional, there have also been challenges. Part of founding my own business is the mission of being a travel advocate. We all need someone to call when things get stressful. That's me! I'll take on the burden of working through dilemmas, creating traveler relaxation even during the undesired moments!

YOUR CHOICE! An additional part of our mission is to provide travel itineraries for everyone with your choice of travel type. It could be budget friendly and comfortable. Your travel choice could also be elegant with a luxury experience. Groups, families or solo adventures are very popular choices. Just let me know, I am delighted to design it!

I have an International specialty of London and Wales. I have traveled there 7 times and also have family spread throughout the region.  While those destinations are nothing short of magical, I'm also a go-to for domestic US, North America and South America travel, cruise or rail, and a lot more. I'm an avid motorsports fan, amateur genealogist and have a huge love for history. Cruises are a favorite and I'm always in search of a mountain or beach! If I'm not at my desk or out networking, I can usually be found in a museum, out for a dining experience or on a road trip to something new!
