Babymoon in Puerto Rico
While 25 weeks pregnant, I enjoyed a relaxing and flavorful vacation on Coronado Beach in Puerto Rico. The local cuisine was a highlight, with dishes like Aguacate Relleno (stuffed avocado) and mofongo becoming daily indulgences. If you're seeking adventure, I recommend visiting El Yunque Forest, which offers ziplining, hiking, and an ADA-certified trail perfect for all ability levels. Another must-visit spot is Luquillo Beach, where you can savor delicious food from the charming beach town eateries.
Cancun
I spent two unforgettable weeks in Cancun and the Quintana Roo region, immersing myself in the vibrant culture and stunning landscapes of Mexico. During my stay in the Hotel Zone, I explored a hub of excitement packed with attractions, clubs, shopping, dining, and breathtaking beaches. If you're planning a trip to Cancun, I recommend staying here for easy access to all the city has to offer.
Quintana Roo and Yucatan Peninsula
A journey through the Yucatan Peninsula is a must for history and culture enthusiasts. I took a road trip to the Mayan pyramids, driving through picturesque countryside to reach Chichen Itza, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From exploring ancient ruins to browsing the handmade goods of Indigenous Mayan vendors, this experience offered a blend of history, culture, and adventure you won't find anywhere else.
Playa Del Carmen
One of the highlights of my trip was a visit to Xcaret, an eco-adventure park in Playa del Carmen that celebrates the natural beauty and culture of Mexico. As a water enthusiast, I loved the snorkeling lagoon, lazy river, and underwater scuba experience, along with encounters with rescued wildlife. The evening cultural show was a stunning tribute to Mexico's heritage, blending storytelling and entertainment in a way that left me inspired.
