About Me

Chichen Itza
Chichen Itza

Mexico offers a rich tapestry of history, culture, and natural beauty, making it one of the most captivating destinations for travelers and archaeology enthusiasts alike. From bustling urban centers to remote ruins hidden in the jungle, the country invites visitors to uncover layers of ancient civilizations while enjoying vibrant modern life.

At the heart of Mexico lies Mexico City, a sprawling metropolis built atop the ruins of Tenochtitlán, the capital of the Aztec Empire. The city's historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where the majestic Metropolitan Cathedral and the ruins of the Templo Mayor stand side by side—a powerful symbol of Mexico’s layered past. The National Museum of Anthropology, one of the finest in the world, houses an extraordinary collection of artifacts from ancient Mesoamerican cultures, including the Aztec Sun Stone and treasures from Teotihuacan and the Maya world. Just outside the city, the ancient site of Teotihuacan is a must-visit. With its massive pyramids—the Pyramid of the Sun and the Pyramid of the Moon—Teotihuacan continues to mystify archaeologists. Walking the Avenue of the Dead offers a glimpse into one of the most powerful and enigmatic civilizations of pre-Hispanic America.

Traveling beyond Mexico City, the archaeological wonders expand. In the Yucatán Peninsula, Chichen Itzá, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, showcases Maya engineering and astronomical knowledge, particularly during the equinox serpent-shadow phenomenon on El Castillo pyramid. Nearby, the ruins of Uxmal and Ek Balam reveal distinct Puuc-style architecture and ornate carvings. Further south, in Chiapas, the jungle-shrouded ruins of Palenque tell the story of Maya kings through intricately carved stelae and temples, such as the Temple of the Inscriptions. The highland city of Monte Albán in Oaxaca offers panoramic views and insight into Zapotec culture, while Mitla reveals intricate mosaic fretwork unlike anything else in Mesoamerica.

Traveling through Mexico is more than just a vacation—it's a journey through time. Archaeological sites are often woven into the everyday lives of local communities, where traditions, language, and cuisine preserve a living heritage. Whether you're tracing the footsteps of the Maya, Aztecs, Zapotecs, or Olmecs, each destination offers not only monumental ruins but also the warmth and hospitality of the people who continue to call this land home.

Trip throughout Japan

Michael made arrangements for us to travel from Tokyo, Mount Fuji and Hakone by bullet train to Osaka, Kyoto and Nara. He arranged all the activities for us and made it so easy! We overnighted in Hiroshima and even visited a Shinto temple on Miyajima. Then back to Osaka and home! We did just the right amount of sightseeing. Michael was a tremendous help and Advisor.

My husband and I went to Greece for two weeks, and had the most amazing time. We went island hopping, from Cypress to Rhodes, Crete, Santorini and Mykonos. Michael was tremendously helpful and made sure all of our needs were met. He even made some special plans for our anniversary. We couldn’t have asked for more :)

Turkey

Mike planned our trip to central Turkey. We flew into Ankara and spent a few days there, visiting museums and historical sites. We took the bus to Cappadocia, which was amazing! We then made our way to the old Roman town of Antalya, and the Roman ruins were very interesting. Then we flew back to Istanbul as a finale, stayed 3 days, and flew home. What a fascinating and enjoyable trip!
Michael Bitsas responded
"I am so glad that you thoroughly enjoyed your trip to Turkey! Please let me know when you're ready to travel again. It'll be a pleasure to work with you again soon."
I would recommend this agent to my family and friends.

One of My Top Travel Experiences - Australia
Reviewed By MMachelle - Chicago | Traveled to Australia | Australia & New Zealand
I used them to book my trip to Australia and I was extremely pleased with everything. It started with a conversation of where, when, etc. and it translated into a seamless & well organized trip. My flight to LA with a connecting flight to Melbourne went without a hitch. Mr. Bitsas is well traveled and was able to recommend some places he experienced when he went to Australia. He also connected me to this couple that reside in Australia that further elevated my experience. While in Australia, we mostly stayed in Melbourne but also flew into Sydney, took a ferry, stayed in a chalet, visited several animal parks. It truly was an experience. I loved my flight as I love planes. I appreciated my travel arrangements as all of my questions were answered, flights made, recommendations given and a lasting memory made. Highly recommend using Michael.
