About Me

Table Mountain
Table Mountain

South Africa, located at the continent's southern tip, is a land of diverse landscapes, rich cultures, and abundant wildlife. Its varied terrain encompasses savannas, deserts, mountains, and coastlines, making it a haven for nature enthusiasts. Renowned as one of the world's megadiverse nations, South Africa boasts national parks like Kruger National Park, where visitors can encounter the "Big Five"—lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and buffalo—offering unparalleled safari experiences.

The country's major cities each offer unique experiences. Cape Town, nestled between the ocean and Table Mountain, captivates with its scenic beauty and vibrant culture. Visitors can explore the historic Robben Island, stroll through the colorful Bo-Kaap neighborhood, and enjoy the bustling V&A Waterfront. Johannesburg, South Africa's largest city and economic hub, presents a blend of modern attractions and historical sites. The Apartheid Museum provides deep insights into the nation's past, while areas like the Maboneng Precinct showcase urban revitalization with art galleries, cafes, and shops.

South Africa's multicultural heritage is evident in its diverse languages, cuisines, and traditions. Experiencing a traditional braai (barbecue) is a must, reflecting the nation's communal spirit. The country's 11 official languages, including Zulu, Xhosa, and Afrikaans, highlight its rich cultural tapestry.

For adventure seekers, South Africa offers a plethora of activities. Hiking in the Drakensberg Mountains, surfing along the Eastern Cape, and diving with great white sharks in Gansbaai are just a few of the thrilling experiences available. The Garden Route, a scenic stretch along the southern coast, provides picturesque landscapes and numerous outdoor adventures.

When planning a visit, it's useful to know that the South African Rand (ZAR) is the local currency, with credit cards widely accepted in major cities and ATMs readily available. The country is a year-round destination; the dry winter months (May to September) are ideal for wildlife viewing, while the summer months (November to March) are perfect for enjoying beaches and outdoor festivals. Visitors from many countries do not require a visa for stays of up to 90 days; however, it's essential to check specific requirements based on your nationality. If traveling with minors, ensure you have the necessary documentation, such as unabridged birth certificates, to comply with immigration regulations.

While South Africa offers incredible experiences, it's advisable to stay informed about safety precautions. Keep valuables secure, avoid walking alone at night in unfamiliar areas, and use reputable transportation services. Consult local advice and stay updated on travel advisories before your trip.

Embarking on a journey through South Africa promises a blend of natural wonders, cultural richness, and unforgettable adventures. With proper planning and an open mind, you're set to create memories that will last a lifetime.

Trip throughout Japan

Michael made arrangements for us to travel from Tokyo, Mount Fuji and Hakone by bullet train to Osaka, Kyoto and Nara. He arranged all the activities for us and made it so easy! We overnighted in Hiroshima and even visited a Shinto temple on Miyajima. Then back to Osaka and home! We did just the right amount of sightseeing. Michael was a tremendous help and Advisor.

My husband and I went to Greece for two weeks, and had the most amazing time. We went island hopping, from Cypress to Rhodes, Crete, Santorini and Mykonos. Michael was tremendously helpful and made sure all of our needs were met. He even made some special plans for our anniversary. We couldn’t have asked for more :)

Turkey
Reviewed By Ptrz - Villa Park, CA | Traveled to Turkey | Middle East
Mike planned our trip to central Turkey. We flew into Ankara and spent a few days there, visiting museums and historical sites. We took the bus to Cappadocia, which was amazing! We then made our way to the old Roman town of Antalya, and the Roman ruins were very interesting. Then we flew back to Istanbul as a finale, stayed 3 days, and flew home. What a fascinating and enjoyable trip!
Michael Bitsas responded

One of My Top Travel Experiences - Australia
Reviewed By MMachelle - Chicago | Traveled to Australia | Australia & New Zealand
I used them to book my trip to Australia and I was extremely pleased with everything. It started with a conversation of where, when, etc. and it translated into a seamless & well organized trip. My flight to LA with a connecting flight to Melbourne went without a hitch. Mr. Bitsas is well traveled and was able to recommend some places he experienced when he went to Australia. He also connected me to this couple that reside in Australia that further elevated my experience. While in Australia, we mostly stayed in Melbourne but also flew into Sydney, took a ferry, stayed in a chalet, visited several animal parks. It truly was an experience. I loved my flight as I love planes. I appreciated my travel arrangements as all of my questions were answered, flights made, recommendations given and a lasting memory made. Highly recommend using Michael.
