As a Kentucky Bourbon Trail expert, my love for this unique experience began when I surprised my husband with a birthday trip to Louisville, Kentucky.Instantly, I fell in love with this beautiful city, rich in history and, of course, bourbon.

Even though I don’t regularly drink bourbon, touring the distilleries revealed the intricate process and captivating history of prohibition and distilling, which deepened my respect and fascination for the craft.

Louisville is more than just bourbon, though. It’s a city steeped in tradition and history, with highlights like the historic Churchill Downs. One of my favorite memories was having breakfast on the backstretch while watching the horses and jockeys practice, learning so much about the sport of horse racing.
