This trip is an 8-day adventure in the interior of Alaska for those who crave more adventure. On this trip you fly into Anchorage, where you will base your stay. You will rent a car to travel to several other towns.

Arrival in Alaska
Arrive in Anchorage on a straight flight from JFK. Drop bags off at the Qupqugiaq Inn that will serve as base camp for the trip. Take a hike at Artic Valley.

Testing Our Bravery
Drive to Alyeska. Brave the Veil Breaker Skybridges at the Alyeska Resort. These are narrow bridges about a foot wide that span several chasms. You cross them while attached to a cable by a rope on your harness. Finish the day with drinks at the Seven Glaciers Restaurant and dinner and beer at the Girdwood Brewing Company.

Visiting a Glacier
Drive to Seward, hike to Exit Glacier and visit the beach. Dinner at the Flamingo Lounge. Spend night at the Breeze Inn in Seward.

Kenai Fjords National Park

8-Hour Cruise
Breakfast at the Porthole. 8-hour cruise with Kenai Fjord tours. Shopping in Seward. Drive to Cooper's Landing. Hike. Dinner at Two Brothers Roadhouse. Return to Anchorage.

Swimming in a Glacial Pool
Drive to Palmer. Check into Alaska Helicopter Tours. Take a helicopter to the top of Matanuska Glacier. Spend 30 minutes swimming, paddleboarding, and hiking on the glacier. Return to the Alaska Glacier Lodge by helicopter. Have dinner at the Raven's Perch. Drive to Talkeetna. Spend night at the Fairview Inn.

Spend the day in Talkeetna, visiting the cemetery, museum and shops. Meet the Mayor, a cat named Aurora, at Nagley's Drug Store Breakfast at Homestead Kitchen. Lunch at the Burger Barn. Return to Anchorage.
