About Me

Cruising the Caribbean with my beautiful husband
Cruising the Caribbean with my beautiful husband

In my career, I have been an event planner, a decorator, an antiques dealer, heavily involved in the wedding industry, and for the last 7 years, I have worked for Expedia Groups vacation rental division, Vrbo. I have learned much during this time, raised my sons, married my soul’s mate (the oft mentioned ‘beautiful husband’), and lived an adventure filled life.

One of my great joys is travelling and sharing my experiences with others. My besties and I exchange reels of places we want to travel together and things we want to do, whether that is exploring a museum or library or attending a play, opera, ballet, or musical performance. Seeds planted with thoughts of women traveling together with intention.

Recently I met up with friends from high school and we discussed upcoming travel trips and ideas. They were in Austin to attend the Madonna concert and their excitement was contagious. When one high school friend mentioned her upcoming trip to Chicago, I chimed in with my love for the city, and she asked for recommendations.  We discussed some general things about Chicago and she asked me to email her with more information.  My excitement grew and the seed of women traveling together germinated and sprouted.

Once I created a list of recommendations for restaurants, tours, and experiences, I sent my email along with my best wishes for her trip.  There was something so internally satisfying that made me want to have that experience and feeling again.

Soon, an opportunity to become a travel agent appeared and I said “Yes!”. This is a welcome and wonderful pivot. I believe that the meticulous detailing necessary to be a successful event planner, decorator, and Vrbo claims specialist give me the perfect foundation for providing excellent service as your travel agent.

One of the caveats I included in my initial meetings with any potential client as an event planner is that something unexpected always happens. The reason for hiring a professional is to have their knowledge and expertise to overcome the unexpected so that the event itself is successful.  I believe this to be true for travel agents as well.

Arming yourself with the expertise of a travel agent means you have an ally for the expected as well as the unexpected. You will have a resource for current and relevant information when you embark on your travels and a knowledgeable ally when you need support.  I utilize my expertise to help eliminate problems before they occur, and for those times when the unexpected arise, when possible, I will do my best to facilitate a positive resolution so you can enjoy your getaway.

I have chosen a focus of women traveling together to experience music-centered events. This can be forms of performance arts, like Broadway musicals, touring concerts, ballets, operas, as well as music festivals, like Coachella, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Jazz Festivals, and Burning Man, to name a few.

When women travel together, we forge bonds of empowerment. Traveling with friends or like-minded women can be a powerful way to form deeper connections and create lifelong memories. It's an opportunity to share experiences, support each other, and feel empowered in a safe and understanding environment.

Music has always played a huge role in my social activities. My high school friends and I regularly went to dances at the Gillespie County Fair Grounds, dancing to the likes of George Strait and Randy Travis, before they were big. Having that steady diet of great music and the fellowship of dance set the tone for my life in Austin.

The love of live music and appreciation for various forms of music led me to explore far outside my country and western upbringing, and I have learned so much from music and musicians. Whether through impromptu sing-alongs, jam sessions, or simply sharing favorite artists, music has the power to break down social barriers and forge strong bonds between friends.

My pledge is to provide you, your friends, and your family with well-planned travel arrangements with an eye for details.

Music and Culture

Austin is the Live Music Capitol of the World, and I've lived in Austin since I came here to attend The University of Texas. I have been fortunate to be involved and associated with the music scene in Austin as an avid fan and as a dance instructor. Music has a way of transcending language barriers, allowing people from different cultures and backgrounds to come together and appreciate the universal language of music.

Music has a unique ability to bring people together and foster meaningful connections, ultimately leading to lasting friendships. Shared musical tastes and experiences can create common ground. Live concerts and music festivals provide opportunities to meet new people, strike up conversations, and form connections.
