I’m Denise, founder of Beyond the Dream Travel.  

My passion for Africa travel, has been a lifelong journey that started in childhood. Inspired by Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom, I became captivated by Africa’s untamed beauty, incredible cultures and iconic wildlife – especially the majestic big cats!

My first visit to Africa in 2000 changed me forever from the moment I set foot on African soil.  What was meant to be a unique vacation, became a life-changing experience for me. The magic of the African bush drew me in, and my love for the continent grew so strong that my husband and I chose to marry in Kenya!

After 30 years in the corporate world, I followed my true passion: helping others experience the joy, wonder, and adventure of Africa. Today, I specialize in designing custom luxury safaris and adventure vacations that align with your unique interests and travel dreams.

Having personally explored several of Africa’s countries and I bring first-hand expertise to every itinerary I craft. From tracking elusive leopards on safari in Botswana, trekking to see the mountain gorillas in Uganda, and witnessing the great wildebeest migration in Kenya to experiencing cultural traditions with local African communities and indulging in private bush dinners under the stars, each journey is designed to deliver exclusive experiences, breathtaking wildlife encounters, and luxurious accommodations that immerse you in the true essence of Africa. 

When I'm not putting together African Safari vacations for my clients, you will find me spending time with family and friends, baking or relaxing on the couch while watching National Geographic, Animal Planet and the African big cat shows!
