Converting a grown adult into a Disney fan?

Once upon a time, a late 20s, corporate Recruiting professional was on his way back from a glitzy conference at the Swan and Dolphin Walt Disney World resort on a coach full of team mates, most of which he had only met 2 weeks prior. In front of him, he overheard one of his new team mates talking about how well they knew Disney world and how frequently she and her family go - so much so that they are annual pass holders. Grown adults who were annual pass holders of Walt Disney World? The Mickey Mouse theme park for kids? Why on earth would adults want to spend multiple weekends a year here without kids? We discussed our thoughts on this and she ultimately declared "maybe one day you can come with us and see for yourself"...

Fast forward 12 months, that co worker and I are happily in a relationship, living together and annual pass holders. Why? Because Walt Disney World has something for everyone. Fast forward 4 more years, we're now married, with 2 kids with the oldest (3) having been to Disney at least 8 times by now.

No, I haven't been brainwashed or tricked into anything. I genuinely did not understand the appeal for adults to Walt Disney World and my last visit there was when I was 4. But when I visited for the first time as an adult, with advisors in the form of my partner and her family who have been there easily over 100 times, and with an open mind of what to expect, it was a lot of fun! You had the nostalgic element of characters that were familiar, great food and drink options for every taste (it only gets better the more you know and branch out in terms of restaurants - ask me about it!) and rides to cater to different thrill seekers. 

Walt Disney World has a lot to offer - plenty of options to cater to every need. Do you want an elevated experience, away from the lines, with classical food choices? They have it. Want to escape on a safari-themed trip, waking up to giraffes outside your balcony, tasting exotic dishes but with classic chicken tenders for the picky eaters, all without having to fly to Africa? Easy. Maybe you just want a budget friendly long weekend getaway, close to action with all things Americana - take your pick on the resorts to choose from. The entire Lake Buena Vista & Walt Disney World resort area is geared toward having something foe everyone. 

How do you navigate all those choices? Well you could try and find a friend or future wife/husband who has been there dozens of times, or you could trust in a Travel Advisor like myself who has the knowledge and expertise both from hands on experiences visiting the parks and resorts, combined with formal Disney College of Knowledge training to ensure your potentially once in a lifetime trip meets and exceeds your expectations.
