I wished I knew about being a travel agent back in 2020 when I planned this exciting road trip.
My hubby and I headed from Texas to Mt Magazine, Arkansas and stayed overnight in a cabin. Next morning we saw the Eiffel Tower in Paris - Arkansas that is (LOL) and then stopped at the Bass Pro Shop in Memphis, TN, which is really cool. The store even has a hotel in it. Then on to Blues City Cafe on Beales Street.
The following day was spent at Graceland and learning all about "The King". This was really a remarkable experience.
Before leaving Memphis the next morning, we had breakfast at the Pancake House and had the best banana/pecan pancakes. Then, we were off to Branson, Missouri to the Stillwaters Resort.
While in Branson, we saw the world's largest toy store, which brought back so many memories, the celebrity car museum, the Titanic museum, rode mountain coasters, saw the production of Noah, which was phenomenal, and went to Silver Dollar City Theme Park.
Meals consisted of restaurants such as Mels Hard Luck Cafe where the waitresses all sing and had the best time, Garfields, dinner show on the Branson Belle, Lamberts where they actually throw rolls at you, and Clockers Cafe.
We were supposed to head to Louisiana after Branson but we had friends getting married in Colorado and had asked my hubby to officiate; so, we left Branson and headed through Kansas. Stopped at Blue Moose Tavern for dinner and then settled in at Little Beaver for the night.
The next morning, we set out for Colorado Springs for about 3 days and enjoyed Manitou Springs, 7 Falls, Pikes Peak, and Garden of the Gods, and of course, uniting our friends in holy matrimony.
Then, it was back to Texas and back to work - I guess all good things must end at some point.
