So, my hubby and I went a second time to Canada and toured three areas - Banff, Jasper, and Edmonton.
We started out in Banff, took the gondola, ate dinner at The Keg, and then stayed at the Coast Canmore for about four nights. We hiked at Johnson Canyon and Lake Louise, which was the highlight of the trip. We also saw Lake Minnewaka Trail and Two Jack Lakes. I will tell you, if you plan to hike - please make sure you have a backpack, water, and snacks - because we did not until our second hike and boy did we learn our lesson.
Meals were at Blackswift Bistro, Patrinos Pizza, Craigs Way Station, and Food & Table.
From Banff we headed to Jasper for a couple nights and finally saw some bears on the side of the road. We stopped at Peyto Lake, the Columbia Icefield Glacier Skywalk, Athabasca Falls, Maligne Canyon, Medicine Lake, and stayed at the Fairmont Jasper.
Meals were at Smittys, Jasper Pizza, and Inn at the Grill.
Finally, we were off to Edmonton to stay at Fantasyland Hotel for about 3 nights in the Polynesian room in the world's largest mall. This mall has an ice skating rink, water park, theme park, Galaxyland putt putt golf, shops, restaurants, and two hotels.
If we had it all to do again, I think we would have stayed in Edmonton for 2 nights, then driven to Banff and stayed at least a week.
