I have been a corporate travel scheduler for 20 years.  My personal travel style is to immerse myself in a region by going on workshops and small tours.  From food tours, museums, art galleries to craft workshops - these are all items that aid in immersing oneself into a new culture and going beyond the tourist hot spots.

Yes seeing the "must see" places of a region are nice but spending time with locals and/or expanding one's creativity with regional guides creates memories far beyond pictures.  I have learned this on my visits to Europe both when solo traveling or with my family.  Traveling to experience the culture of a region can be done anywhere around the globe and even in one's own back yard.  I can assist with the pace of the experiences one wish to have during your vacation - from the must be active during all waking hours to the cafe lounge and exist travel.

I find that the items created during my travels have made wonderful gifts for friends and family.  These items have allowed me to share a little bit of my journey with them along with aiding my desire to experience/learn something new.  I so enjoy explaining the processes I learned and information garnered from my workshops/tours with others as it allows me to relive those special moments.  Cultural travel is our way of staying to connected to one another and broadening our minds.
