Traveling to the East Coast of the United States offers a diverse range of experiences, from vibrant cities to charming coastal towns, historic landmarks, and stunning natural landscapes.
Here's a guide to exploring some of the highlights along the East Coast:
1. New York City, New York: Start your journey in the bustling metropolis of New York City, home to iconic landmarks like Times Square, Central Park, the Statue of Liberty, and the Empire State Building. Explore world-class museums such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art and catch a Broadway show in the Theater District. Don't forget to indulge in the city's diverse culinary scene and take a stroll along the High Line or Brooklyn Bridge for panoramic views of the skyline.
2. Washington, D.C.: Head south to the nation's capital, Washington, D.C., where you can visit historic monuments and museums, including the White House, the U.S. Capitol, the Smithsonian museums, and the National Mall. Explore the vibrant neighborhoods of Georgetown and Adams Morgan, and don't miss the chance to see the cherry blossoms in bloom around the Tidal Basin in the spring.
3. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania: Continue your journey to Philadelphia, known as the birthplace of American democracy. Explore Independence National Historical Park, home to the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution were signed. Wander through charming neighborhoods like Old City and enjoy a classic Philly cheesesteak sandwich.
4. Boston, Massachusetts: Travel north to Boston, one of the oldest cities in the United States, where you can walk the Freedom Trail to explore historic sites like the Paul Revere House, Faneuil Hall, and the USS Constitution Museum. Immerse yourself in the city's rich cultural scene with visits to world-renowned universities like Harvard and MIT, as well as the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Museum of Fine Arts.
5. Coastal Maine: For a change of pace, head up the coast to Maine, where you can explore picturesque seaside towns like Bar Harbor, Camden, and Kennebunkport. Enjoy fresh seafood, go whale watching, and explore Acadia National Park, known for its rugged coastline, granite peaks, and scenic hiking trails

Jason used the public transporation system in Rome Italy (especially the trains) to get around, meet locals and save tons of money. For example is was less than $20 for two total to get from Rome (city) to the cruise port on the train. It would have been over $ 100 or more otherwise.
