Visiting the energy vortex that is Sedona, Arizona, you are bound to face a bit of magic. That first initial descent into the canyon coming from Flagstaff, you are met with a complete scenery change as you begin to see the earth turn a tone of orange as you wind your way through the ponderosa pines. With breathtaking views everywhere you turn, Sedona is filled with towering peaks to climb and miles of desert wildlife to explore. Before heading to our first hike of the trip, Devil's Bridge- a natural wonder of the world, we stopped in Tlaquepaque Village for lunch where we perused the art galleries that the village was known for and picked up a few crystals for souvenirs. Having found the perfect lodge smack in the middle of the massive red rock formations, we would watch the sunset change the prominent Cathedral Rock from gold to black each evening. With countless amounts of tours including helicopter tours highlighting the vast region, or ATV rentals so you can race through the gorges, there is excitement and adventure around every corner. Sedona is also known for their spas and wellness, and there's no better way to end a full day bathing in the crystal clear swimming holes than a metaphysical massage and a glass of red wine at Vino Di Sedona. Truly a beautiful experience as a whole, a trip to Sedona left me feeling recharged and eager to visit again.
