River Cruising

My husband and I visited Vegas in the middle of May for our 9 year wedding anniversary; our first time there so it’s hard to tell if the weather was good or not but either way, it was hot. We didn’t really mind because we’re from Florida but bringing water everywhere you go is a smart choice, also don’t forget to put sunscreen on and lots of it. We stayed at the Luxor hotel which was pretty cool because they don’t have elevators, they have “inclinators” which is kind of like an elevator but it goes up at a 35 degree angle….or something like that because the building is shaped like a pyramid. The next day we went to the Hoover Dam I booked through Viator.com and purchased tickets for Ultimate Hoover Dam tour hosted by Gray Line and they picked us up from the nearest hotel, which was right next door. We stopped by the famous “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada” sign, the Pat Tillman memorial bridge which was super windy so hold your hats and took a small tour through the Hoover Dam. If I had to choose, I would do the longer tour. Later that night we went to a Cirque du Soleil show named Ka and it was beautiful show but honestly there were so many shows, I’m sure we would have loved them all. The only reason we went to this show is because it was free because we went to a time share meeting. Just remember to say no and they only have 2 hrs of your time, after that just stand up and tell them you’re done. On our last day we went to Area 15 which is a psychedelic mall lit by black lights and neon lights. We did most of the activities there but the famous Omega Mart wasn’t included which was disappointing but we’ll know for next time. That same night we went to Amalfi which is owned by famous chef; Bobby Flay and let’s say it was fine dining at its best! It is located in Caesar’s Palace which is gorgeous inside. The food was worth every penny and the service is top tier. Overall, 10 out of 10 and will definitely revisit Las Vegas but rent a car next time
