My girlfriends and I had an unforgettable 8-day trip to Barbados during Crop Over, where we got to experience the vibrant Grand Kadooment celebration. Our adventure was filled with highlights, including snorkeling with sea turtles on a catamaran tour and enjoying the lively nightlife at the clubs along St. Lawrence Gap. The island’s beauty was stunning, with crystal-clear waters that made it feel like a serene paradise.We visited the horses at Pebbles Beach and spent time relaxing at Dover Beach. The food was incredible, especially the flying fish at Oistins Fish Market and oxtails at a local restaurant. The locals were so friendly, making us feel right at home everywhere we went.One of the highlights of our trip was exploring Saint Lucy, the island’s only female-named parish. We visited the breathtaking Animal Flower Cave, which was an absolute must-see! Another memorable experience was touring St. Nicholas Abbey, where we had the chance to taste rum at the distillery in a historic plantation house. We also took a scenic train ride to the top of Cherry Tree Hill, where we snapped amazing photos of the island.Of course, no trip to Barbados would be complete without stopping by Rihanna’s childhood home, adding a special local touch to our adventure. I can’t wait to return to this incredible island and highly recommend that everyone visits Barbados at least once in their lifetime!
