Hello, I'm Julian Tamayo, but my friends call me Jules. My passion for travel and embracing new cultures began in my earliest memories. Growing up, my father's army career meant relocating every two years, allowing me to experience life in Texas, Germany, Alaska, Missouri, Colorado, and California. Our family trips to Mexico often included stays in Puerto Vallarta, near my father's Jalisco-based family. With over a decade in the culinary industry, I relish expanding my palate with global cuisines. My expertise lies in the Sonoma/Napa region of Northern California, my home since age 14. I'm intimately familiar with its offerings. Although my wife often prefers staycations, citing the abundant local attractions, my wanderlust persists. We both enjoy the outdoors; summer finds us floating on Guerneville's Russian River or hiking through Armstrong and Muir Woods' Redwoods. The beach beckons us, with Bodega Bay close by our favorite beaches are Dillon Beach and Goat Rock Beach. Mushroom foraging at Salt Point for Chanterelles is another cherished activity. The region's culinary scene is exceptional, with Yountville's three-Michelin-starred French Laundry as a highlight.
