I love to share my passion for travel! Especially traveling to Europe. As a young girl, I dreamt of some day visiting Paris, France. I vividly remember my first trip. I traveled alone and had absolutely no idea what I was doing. Even though it cost more money, I asked the taxi driver to drive along the Champs Elysee on the way to my hotel. He muttered something in French and gave me a disapproving look and off we went. For me, it was a thrill of a lifetime – my lifetime. As we drove in the early morning hour, my jet lag seemed to disappear. I rolled down the window and stuck my head out, just so I could absorb everything around me. Even though I had an extremely limited French vocabulary; I chattered endlessly along the way, asking what seemed to be a million questions. My enthusiasm and pure joy must have shown on my face as my driver, Jean-Philipe, melted and announced, “I speak English”.  He began to share with me with great pride, all about his hometown, Paris. In that moment, my love of travel grew exponentially and continues to this day!In my 30 plus years in the travel industry Paris remains one of my favorite cities to visit, and it will always be the ultimate city for romance. It’s timeless beauty, art, and cultural heritage will capture your heart. Whether you are experiencing this enchanting city for the first time or for the tenth time, the City of Light will make you fall in love all over again.

There are many other places that have captured my heart over the years, England, Ireland, Germany, Hungary and Austria, just to name a few. Most recently, my husband and I spent two weeks in Northern France, Belgium and Luxembourg. This was his trip of a lifetime! We did a great deal of research on the D-Day landings and traveled from Normandie, France to Bastogne, Belgium, and Luxembourg. The history we uncovered and the deeply moving experiences, along with the people we met and the stories they told, made us fall in love with this part of the world. “Is it any wonder that every time we see something on the Travel Channel about this region, we feel a longing in our hearts to return?”
