Hello Travelers!

My name is Mindi Spencer, and I am the wife of an Air Force officer, mom to 2 adult-ish girls, and avid traveller! Thanks to my husband’s Air Force career, early on in our marriage we were given the opportunity to live in Germany for several years. Our love of travel started there, as it was easy to hop in our car or jump on a train and be in another country within a matter of hours. We've traveled all over Europe, and tend to go back at least once a year. Germany continues to be a favorite place to return to, especially the beautiful Garmisch-Partenkirchen area in the Alps.

We’ve expanded far beyond Germany and her border countries now, and I am grateful to have been able to visit China twice, Hong Kong, Japan, Australia, Tahiti, Morocco, Ecuador, Costa Rica, all over Canada and the Bahamas/Caribbean and many other locations. We are looking forward to adding Ireland and New Zealand to our resumes this year!

In recent years I have discovered a love for Africa. My travels there have made a lasting impact on me. My first trip was to Casablanca and Marakech, Morocco. What a feast for the senses! The sights, the smells, the shopping and the souks were like nothing I've ever experienced. What an incredible adventure it was! Most recently my African travels have been to Kenya, and I have fallen in love with her and her people. I am lucky enough to have locals I now get to call friends in Nairobi and surrounding areas. Did you know that Nairobi is home to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, which operates an orphanage for Africa's wildlife? Since the 1980's, the mission has been to rescue and rehabilitate with the goal of reintegrating these animals back into a wild adult life. The work they do is truly incredible. Most commonly they rescue elephants. You can "adopt" and sponsor one of these orphans, and even visit the nursery on your trip to the city to see them for yourselves! While this experience was a dream come true for me, there are many more unique encounters you can only have on an African Adventure. There’s something magical about a safari trip, it is truly like nothing else in the world. Beyond that, Kenya and her people are some of the most beautiful and welcoming that we’ve had the pleasure of meeting.

I am greatly looking forward to jumping into group travel this year! Any guesses where we are starting? If you guessed Africa, you'd be right. Might as well go big! Many people are overwhelmed and don't even know where to begin when thinking about a safari, so I decided to create a custom travel professional-led trip for a small group. We plan to go at the optimal time to catch the Great Wildebeest Migration in the Fall. We have the added bonus of a  professional photographer joining us for those who are wanting to learn more about wildlife photography!
