Traveling with young children isn’t always easy—but it’s absolutely possible, and incredibly rewarding. I’ve done it firsthand, starting when my daughter was just 2 months old, flying solo from Toronto to British Columbia. That experience taught me the importance of preparation, flexibility, and a whole lot of patience!
When she was 10 months old, my husband and I took her on a 3-week adventure through Italy, exploring Rome, Vatican City, Naples, Pompeii, Florence, Rimini, San Marino, Verona, and Venice—by bus, train, and taxi. It was a whirlwind of culture, history, and cobblestone streets!
Here are a few of my must-know tips for traveling Europe with a baby:
Stroller with air-inflated tires: A game-changer for cobblestone streets—your baby (and your arms) will thank you.
Compact or collapsible stroller: Elevators in Europe are tiny, so space-saving gear is essential.
Breastfeeding pillow with a waist buckle: Whether you’re nursing or not, it’s a lifesaver for feeding, naps, and reducing caregiver fatigue. Bonus: it clips right onto your stroller!
I know the challenges and the joys of traveling with little ones, and I love helping families plan trips that are both memorable and manageable. Let’s make your next family adventure smooth, stress-free, and full of unforgettable moments.
