A Small Sample of Our 2023 Travels!

My love of travel began at a young age; by age 9 I had visited Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, and several destinations across the US. Heck, I had a passport and my parents took me to Europe before I was even a year old…of course, I don’t remember that particular trip.  The first trip I DO remember was a “Disney Cruise” (this was in 1987 before Disney Cruise Line debuted).  I remember being dazzled by the characters as they danced through the dining room greeting my sister and me and splashing in the waves on a pristine Caribbean beach.  We completed that trip with a visit to Walt Disney World® Resort, where the single thing I can recall is running though a tunnel of rainbow lights and sticking my hands and face into “pin tables” inside of ImageWorks after riding Journey Into Imagination. Between that trip and watching The Disney Sunday Movie every week with my family, I was hooked!!My love for The Walt Disney Company® grew as time went on, and I cherished every time my family would venture to the southern half of our state to visit Disneyland®.  During the winter break between my first and second semester of college, I took a trip to Costa Mesa, just south of Anaheim, to visit some family.  It was then that I decided to apply for a position as a Cast Member at Disneyland®.  Much to my delight, I was hired right away!  I spent two wonderful years making magic as an attractions Cast Member in Adventureland.  My primary assignment was the “World-Famous” Jungle Cruise.  Yes, I had the distinct privilege of seeing the 8th wonder of the world every 7 minutes or so, every single day.  Sometimes, I would play “alarm clock” for Jose and his fine feathered friends in Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room presented by DOLE® PACKAGED FOODS, and every now and again, I “directed traffic” while getting to watch Fantasmic! take to the Rivers of America.  During my time as a Cast Member, I celebrated as Disney California Adventure® Park had its grand opening.  I even had the opportunity to send folks Soarin’ Over California, as the park was still becoming fully operational.  I enjoyed every moment spent as a Cast Member and remember it fondly and frequently.  Fast forward to now; I have spent the last fourteen years working as a Registered Veterinary Technician.  I have one daughter and a loving partner to enjoy life with.  We have two dogs, one cat, two parrots, and a flock of chickens!  When I am not busy caring for other people’s pets, I spend much of my time caring for my own, as well as, my ever-growing number of house plants!  My family and I are Magic Key holders and regularly enjoy all the magic that the Disneyland® Resort has to offer!  Between Disneyland® Resort trips, we have sprinkled in several trips to Walt Disney World® Resort.  We have also sailed on several cruises to destinations across the globe - my favorites always being the ones that take me to beaches and tropical weather!  Plus, we’ve journeyed on sightseeing trips across the US.  On a recent tip to Minnesota and Wisconsin, I fulfilled my childhood dream of seeing the “mall with the rollercoaster in it” that fascinated me when “The Mighty Ducks” movie series first debuted.  I even discovered a new vacation destination, that is, Wisconsin Dells, WI. As your Magic Maker® I am excited to work with you creating your own memories!  I look forward to sharing my love of travel and knowledge of these destinations with you!  From Jungle Skip to cruise ship and everywhere in between, I am here to help you navigate the vacation of your dreams!
