DESTINATIONS VISITED:Italy, Spain
PLACES VISITED:Barcelona, Civitavecchia, Palma de Mallorca
SUGGESTED DURATION:3 Days
If you're looking for something a little different when cruising from Rome (Civitavecchia), try exploring the beautiful hill-top town of Tarquinia. You can still visit Rome for the day by train (1 hour), or relax and explore the many restaurants, cafes and views from Tarquinia. Then take a 20-minute taxi to Civitavecchia port to board your cruise.
Our cruise ended in Barcelona - another fabulous city to explore, but if you've already been and are looking for something a little different, try Mallorca and Sitges. From Sitges, it is easy to stroll the many cobblestones streets and enjoy the beauty of the ocean and promenade, while only being a 40-minute train ride from Barcelona. Or...hop on a 1-hour flight to the stunning island of Mallorca. You could spend many days there exploring the various and varied towns/beaches. Take as much or as little time as you have!

FINAL THOUGHTS
If you've seen that main tourist attractions in Italy and Spain, try exploring these off-the-beaten-track gems! Whether you're extending your cruise or exploring by land, enjoy the peace and tranquility of smaller, less touristy locations.
