The best travel agent I have ever had I will never travel again without using Sofia.

I recently returned from an amazing trip to Costa Rica with my husband and 3 other couples we are good friends with. My takeaways from the trip are it's a beautiful country with amazing biodiversity and very friendly and happy people who care about the wildlife and the environment and want you to appreciate and enjoy your time there. We stayed in 3 different locations allowing us a varied experience with accommodations, climate and activities including tours with really knowledgeable guides. First, we stayed in a warm and very accommodating family run bouquet hotel, next, an amazing resort; located in a preserve where you are living with the wildlife in a serene, beautiful setting with many activities including; hiking, white water tubing, zip lining, a thermal river, multiple pools, yoga classes and a spa (truly exceptional property) and we ended our stay in a lovely hotel overlooking the water in Manuel Antonio, where the rainforest meets the beach! Sofia had all our transportation pre-arranged, and it was flawless as well as an agent in CR who was always available and texted us our daily itinerary with any information we would need. The locations, accommodations, transportation and activities/tours all made for a perfect vacation with plenty to see and do as well as downtime to relax. In the initial planning phase, there were some concerns about promptness with communication between the agency and the group, but they were resolved and the trip could not have been better!

I hired Sofia Calvin from Storied Travel for the first time in the fall of 2024 to plan a trip for my wife and me in Colombia and Chile. The trip itself took place in January 2025, and we had a wonderful experience. We first had video conferences where Sofia tried to get to know us personally: what we enjoy doing, our expectations, the type of accommodations we wanted, special requirements, etc. Based on this information, she provided a first draft of an itinerary that fit our budget and it took several iterations to go over the details and arrive at the final version. During this entire process, I was impressed by Sofia’s knowledge, professionalism, kindness, good spirit and sense of humor. Sofia and her team have been “accompanying” us remotely the whole time we were in South America, checking us in before our flights, making sure everything went smoothly and providing timely fixes for delays or tour cancellations that were out of their control. I won't lie, when my wife first told me she was working with a travel agent she found thru a trusted travel site I was a bit skeptical. As it turns out my skepticism was completely unfounded. Sofia with Storied Travel not only worked with my wife to create my wifes dream itinerary to Egypt, but even the most miniscule details were taken care of. The accommodations made for us were just beautiful. The guides provided to us were wonderful people, very knowledgeable and each had a different method of information delivery (none were bad), and all very personable people. Our drivers were phenomenal, and each day of our trip was just as amazing as the one before. Beyond the absolutely amazing trip we had, Sophia was extremely communicative. She video contacted us prior to us leaving home for the trip. She tracked our flights and watched our progress until we arrived in Egypt. When we arrived and were handed off to her colleagues local to Egypt, she was still only a what's app message away, though we were in quite capable and trustworthy hands.

Working with Sofia was fantastic! She planned my sister’s birthday trip to Costa Rica and we had an amazing time. From the hotel, to the driver, to the excursions - everything was top service and seamless. She even had great recommendations for us during our downtime. One of our travelers had a hiccup with a flight that kept being delayed and she was able to help her solve that in no time. Will definitely work with her again for my next vacay.
